Course Summary

ATEX training focuses on preventing explosions in workplaces where explosive atmospheres may occur due to flammable substances like gases, vapours, or dusts. It covers the ATEX Directives, which are EU regulations for the safe use of equipment and protective systems in hazardous areas. 

The training aims to help individuals understand the risks, prevention methods, and compliance requirements of ATEX directives which requires employers to provide suitable and sufficient training to protect workers from fire and explosion risks related to dangerous substances and potentially explosive atmospheres.

To assist employers in achieving compliance, Gexcon has developed a cost effective, unique, interactive online training tool which allows employers and employees to improve their knowledge on a specialised subject.

Broken down into four modules, it provides a pragmatic overview to the ATEX regulations and offers a basic understanding of the phenomenon of explosions, its effect and the expected consequences, how to become ATEX compliant and how to protect personnel and equipment.

The course is accessed via browser and can be completed to complement working schedules, resulting in minimum disruption to the workplace.
